When I first started in business, planning was the last thing on my mind. I was pumped and ready to make something happen - no time for this planning nonsense. Well, as many of you already know, it turns out that planning wasn't such nonsense after all. Without at least some sort of priority list to achieve your goals, getting to your destination will be pretty tough.
With just about 6 weeks of effective work time left in 2007, it is a good time to think about the past 10 months and perhaps schedule time on your calendar to plan for next year. By now, you probably have a good sense of where your business will end up financially by year's end.
Did you meet your goals? If not, take a look at what put you off course. Most importantly, what can you do now to get as close to your milestones as you envisioned? Do it now - before you get caught up on the holidays with little time to focus on end of year planning.
